First Luxury Homes to Start Construction at Hydeberry Rochedale

The first homes will start construction at Rochedale's newest community Hydeberry in the coming weeks, with Stage One works now complete and settlements underway.

Developed by Top 50 ASX Listed Group Mirvac, just 14.5 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, Hydeberry has been in high demand since its launch to market in March this year.

More than 92 per cent of stage one has already sold, and Stage Two is proving equally popular, with more than 44 per cent of homesites secured since being released in late June.

With an elegant entry statement and tree-lined boulevards, Hydeberry is designed to maximise its exclusive address and elevated position in sought-after Rochedale, with some homesites featuring city skyline views.

The new community will include a total of 133 homesites when complete and has appealed to a range of buyers - from those making their first step on the property ladder to growing families upgrading to a second or third home.

A mix of homesites, ranging from 315sqm to 480sqm, and priced from $410,000 are available.

Mirvac Queensland Residential General Manager, Warwick Bible, said the first settlements were an important milestone for Hydeberry, which would continue taking shape over the coming months.

"We started receiving interest in the homesites even before we officially launched to the market and to now be at the stage where our first buyers can start building their homes is testament to the quality location and value on offer," he said.

"Rochedale has become one of Brisbane's most sought-after addresses, offering the rare chance to build a brand new home in a new community that is within easy commuting distance of the CBD and with an established - and fast-growing - mix of amenities at the doorstep.

"Residents are set to have even more options for the commute in the future, with the planned high-frequency Brisbane Metro station, earmarked for Eight Mile Plains, to provide direct connections to South Bank and the city.

"We have designed Hydeberry with an executive lifestyle in mind, with residents to be welcomed home by a feature entry statement that flows through to premium streetscapes, including tree-lined boulevards that will provide shade and beautiful seasonal colours."

Mr Bible said the array of shopping, dining, public transport, entertainment and education facilities in easy reach had also appealed to buyers.

"The community is close to two Westfield Centres, along with Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park Shopping Centre, and the Rochedale Town Centre, which is under construction, is less than a kilometre away," he said.

Hydeberry Rochedale - Maria & Omar

Maria and Omar Nasr - along with their three daughters Serena, 9, Naya, 3, and Tehya, 1 - will be among the first new residents to call Hydeberry Rochedale home.

The family had been renting in Rochedale for almost two years, and spent the past year searching for their forever home, when Mirvac launched the new Hydeberry community.

Mrs Nasr said the location of Hydeberry caught their attention immediately.

"Hydeberry has easy access to Gardner Road, making it straightforward to get in and out of the community, and we liked the fact most of the land was flat," she said.

"The community will feature significant landscaping and greenery, with an overall exclusive look, and has a feeling of safety and security, which also appealed to us.

"Rochedale is a nice, upcoming and family-friendly neighbourhood that is so central to everything. It is not too far from the city but not in the hustle and bustle, and is midway between my daughter's school and husband's work, so I don't have to drive too far with three kids in the car."

Mrs Nasr said the family originally looked at buying a 'ready-made' home but couldn't find anything that ticked all the boxes.

"When Hydeberry launched and the price was suitable, we decided to purchase land and design a home that ideally fit our family," she said.

"We wanted our three girls to have their own rooms and to create a functional space for us as a family. We wanted a home we could make our own.

"We are finalising our plans with the architects now for a five bedroom home and are hoping to be able to move in by mid next year."
